Markets

Most markets in Mallorca are held in the morning. It is best to arrive before 10.30am because many markets will be finished and packed up by 1.30pm.

The nearest big market to Magalluf & Palma Nova is at Andraitx every Wednesday morning. Bargains to be had are lace and leather goods, but do try to haggle over the price. The market is easily reached by bus or taxi. Special buses run on Wednesday mornings for this market.

On Saturday mornings a ‘Mercadillo’ or Car Boot Sale is held opposite the Aqualand complex and Palma’s street market takes place on the Avenidas. Inca market is one of the biggest on the island and lots of travel agencies, and tour operators offer trips there on Thursday mornings.
